Project Management Blog

In order to grow the community and maybe give you a few minutes on a soapbox, the Project Management Blog accepts contributions from the Community as a whole. We have some simple guidlines in order to make this process easier on you and all of our editors. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

The intent of the Project Management Blog is to expand and inform the Project Management community, get people involved, and hopefully learn something from each other. In accordance with that goal, here are the requirements for submission:

First of all, register on the site. It takes all of 5 seconds. We'll also need a brief - 3 sentences or so - on your background to attach to your articles.

Next, in terms of Topics, we have a pretty wide net which is captured here: Topic Tree. When you make your submission, please identify any number of topics which your contribution applies to. There is no maximum, but the average tends to be 2-3. If we're missing something, let us know.

Next, we're pretty flexible on article length, plan on people spending no more than 5 minutes reading your contribution. If you have something to say that takes more time, consider breaking it into multiple postings. If you do this, it is recommended to post these pieces 1-2/week to keep people interested.

Next, there are a select group of tags which you can use in your contribution. These tags are: "<a> <em> <strong> <cite> <code> <ul> <ol> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd> <img>". Please do not include any of the following or related tags: "<p> <font> <center> <b> <i> <h1> <h2>".

Next, remember that TOO MANY ways of putting emphasis on something completely dillutes EVERYTHING ELSE. Let your points speak for themselves by using natural breaks in the text and limited font changes.

Next, we don't promise you anything in terms of traffic or compensation. If you write a review, you are welcome to link to the seller via affiliate code, but if you end up receiving any form of compensation - free book, license, beer - it should be disclosed on the site as soon as possible.

Finally, the Project Management Blog does not under any circumstances accept "adver-torials". If you have a product, company, service, etc which you wish to have reviewed, someone may review it or they may not. Mentioning a company by name is okay as long as it is relevant to the discussion.
